At fluffi we LOVE the Queen. She’s stylish, sophisticated and at all times impeccably mannered.
And she’s just gone even higher in our estimations too, having ditched real fur for faux fur.
As I’m sure you all know, the trade of real fur creates harm to our fluffy friends and it’s completely needless, with faux fur alternatives manufactured to be softer, longer-lasting and both machine washable and dryable – just like our super soft blankets and cushions.
Did you know for example, PETA states one billion rabbits are killed each year for their fur?
We simply don't want to see that kind of cruelty for the benefit of fashion.
Sky News reported that Angela Kelly wrote in her new memoir that Her Majesty will no longer be wearing real fur for engagements due to a change in attitude here in the UK, even saying coat worn by the Queen on one of her foreign trips has been altered.
The personal adviser wrote: "If Her Majesty is due to attend an engagement in particularly cold weather, from 2019 onwards fake fur will be used to make sure she stays warm."
We fully support this decision, and it’s great to hear that if the Queen wants to stay warm, she chooses faux fur!
